See the campus you care about.
Campus Native is a marketplace for honest, personalized campus tours led by current, verified students, matched to what you actually care about, instead of a scripted official tour.
- 1
Find your guide
Pick a campus and filter current students by major, interests, rating, and price. Every guide is a real enrolled student.
- 2
Request a tour
Choose a time and tell your guide what you want to see. Your card is authorized now but only charged when the guide accepts.
- 3
Meet on campus
Once your guide accepts, the tour is confirmed. Meet in a public campus spot, and bring a parent or guardian if you'd like.
- 4
Leave a review
After the tour, rate your guide so future families know who gives the best, most honest look at campus life.
Honest answers, real places, the student lens.
We believe the best way to understand a campus is to walk it with someone who actually lives there. Campus Native connects prospective students and their families with current students who show them the labs, dorms, dining, and spots that matter to them, and answer the real questions an official tour never will.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does a Campus Native tour cost?
- Each guide's tour price is shown on their profile before you book. You see the full price — tour plus a small service fee — up front, with no surprises. Your card is authorized when you request a tour and only charged when the guide accepts.
- Is it safe to book a tour with a student?
- Safety is the foundation of Campus Native. Every guide is a current student verified by a .edu email and a government-ID check before they can go live. Payments are held securely and only released after the tour happens, and every guide has public reviews from completed tours. We recommend meeting in a public campus spot and bringing a parent or guardian.
- How is this different from the official campus tour?
- The official admissions tour follows a fixed route and script for the admissions message. A Campus Native tour is private, led by one current student, and shaped around your major and interests — the labs, dorms, dining, and spots you actually care about, with honest answers to real questions. Many families do both.
- Which campuses can I book tours at?
- We're launching at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and adding campuses as we verify guides at each one. Search your school to see the current student guides available.
- Can I become a guide and get paid?
- Yes. If you're a current student, you can set your own availability, show the spots you love, and earn money per tour through Stripe. Most guides are live within a day of signing up.
